Air-powered tools of the modern era require proper lubrication. To protect these expensive power tools, lubricators are essential. Ultrasonic generators deliver a fine mist of lubricating oil, and these lubricators can be easily adjusted to achieve the optimal lubrication level for the specific application. For added convenience, the loading bowl can be filled from either side. It is crucial to locate the lubricator as close to the tool as possible. Never position a lubricator between a compressor and a filter regulator, or on an air supply line to a paint gun. While lubrication is necessary to keep air tools functioning correctly, oil contaminants in the line used for spray painting will invariably result in a ruined paint job.
Tru-Flate is part of the Plews & Edelmann group, which has a rich history. Plews Manufacturing and Sales Corporation was originally founded by R.G. Plews in 1927, with a primary focus on the railroad industry's extensive line of oil cans. As the transportation industry evolved from trains to passenger cars and trucks, Plews shifted their focus to developing the necessary tools to service this new mode of transportation. Now, 90 years later, Plews has become part of Plews & Edelmann, a leading designer, manufacturer, and distributor of a wide range of automotive parts and tools. These products are sold to a vast majority of mass merchants, retail auto parts stores, and wholesale automotive parts and industrial distribution outlets worldwide.
Tru-Flate 'Compact' air line lubricators are designed to provide proportional delivery of lubricating oils over a wide range of air flows, making them ideal for most general applications. The lubricator should be mounted as close as possible to the application to ensure the most effective distribution of oil to pneumatic components. The oil can be replenished while the system is still under pressure. These lubricators feature a cast aluminum main body and a clear polycarbonate bowl, with a 1/4-18 female NPT inlet/outlet and a maximum pressure of 150 PSI at 125 degrees Fahrenheit. They can handle up to 20 SCFM (standard cubic feet per minute) with a 10 PSI inlet pressure and a 5 PSI pressure drop, and have a 5 oz. capacity while standing 7.4 inches tall. It is essential to note that oils with adhesives, compounded oils containing solvents, graphite, detergents, or synthetic oils must not be used in these lubricators.
